This article comprehensively examines modern approaches to increasing added value in products based on
synthetic fibers within the framework of textile industry theory. Porter’s competitive advantage concept and the resourcebased
view were applied as the methodological foundation. Four core directions — functional finishing, nanotechnology
application, smart textile systems, and production based on recycled synthetic fibers — were individually studied to
determine their role in added value creation and to demonstrate harmonization opportunities with strategic branding.
Based on a comparative analysis of the european union sustainable textile strategy and international scientific literature,
the prospective directions of these approaches were identified, and practical recommendations for textile enterprises
were developed.
