This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of authentic materials for English for Specifc Purposes (ESP)
students in tourism and hospitality by applying regression analysis, correlation analysis, and factor analysis. Additionally,
it seeks to develop a data-driven method to identify key determinants influencing language profciency and professional
competence. Using a mixed-methods approach that incorporates contextualized domain-specifc knowledge, this study
establishes an integrated framework for material development, categorized into hierarchical levels of relevance and
usability.
During this process, a set of authentic texts and industry-related case studies—including brochures, menus, travel guides,
and service scenarios—were selected and assessed for their alignment with sustainable pedagogical practices. The
proposed framework is designed to foster innovation and support further in-depth research by analyzing and presenting
an accessible overview of the pedagogical challenges posed by various contextual and cultural factors in ESP education.
This research will contribute signifcantly to addressing the ongoing needs of the tourism and hospitality sector by
enhancing the use of specialized English materials in both vocational and academic settings. It also seeks to resolve
technical design limitations, contextual differences, and other pedagogical concerns. Furthermore, it aims to bridge the
gap between curriculum requirements and workforce readiness by emphasizing competency-based learning objectives.
By focusing on this specialized educational feld, this study provides a solid foundation for optimizing learning outcomes
and addressing the skill and knowledge gaps in ESP instruction from the perspectives of learners, educators, and industry
professionals.
