The article examines the effectiveness of inter-agency data exchange in the provision of customs services to tourists arriving in foreign-registered vehicles. During 2023-2025, the number of passenger cars entering Uzbekistan from neighbouring countries increased by 35.6%. Over the same broader period, the collection rate of traffic fines imposed on foreign vehicles changed from 65.1% in 2021 to 44.5% in 2025, indicating the importance of further improving the mechanisms for timely information exchange and fine collection. Of the outstanding amount in 2025, 61.4% was associated with information on traffic offences reaching the customs authorities only after the relevant vehicles had left the country. Keywords
