Abstract

Cable manufacturing is characterized by energy-intensive production processes and significant exposure to fluctuations in copper prices, making green investment decisions closely interconnected with financial performance. This article develops an integrated approach to assessing green innovation-investment effectiveness and strategic forecasting, using publicly available financial data and scenario-based calculations for Uzkabel Joint Venture as an applied case. The methodology links investment intensity, operating profitability, energy intensity, the share of recycled copper, and the minimum required return for capital recovery. Scenario-based calculations through 2030 indicate that, under the assumption of preferential green financing, the estimated threshold return decreases from 0.255 to 0.209. The proposed approach provides a methodological basis for jointly assessing the financial and resource-efficiency dimensions of green investment decisions in cable manufacturing.
