The potential utilization of hydrometallurgical plant tailings as a technogenic source for gold recovery is substantiated. The main causes of gold losses during cyanidation and the occurrence of gold in aged tailings are analyzed. A combined technology for processing technogenic raw materials is proposed, incorporating preliminary concentration of gold-bearing minerals, pretreatment of refractory gold, and subsequent sorption leaching. The results of laboratory investigations aimed at evaluating the technological feasibility of the proposed flowsheet for improving gold recovery efficiency are presented. Keywords
