The development trends of the light industry sector in Namangan Region and its role in regional economic growth are analyzed. The research findings indicate that, although light industry output has increased significantly, its relative share in total industrial production has shown a declining trend. The regional analysis reveals that industrial activity is concentrated primarily in urban centres, while infrastructure development in peripheral districts is progressing at a relatively slower pace. To improve the sector’s efficiency, the introduction of a cluster model, investment attraction, and the training of qualified personnel are recommended. Keywords
